Ann and I are often asked, “What will your life look like when you are married?” I never know how to answer this question. In some ways married life will look totally different and in other ways exactly the same.
Ann and I want to pursue the same wild love story in our marriage as we have while dating. We want our love for each other to grow in passion to the point where we long to bring children into it, to join us in our story. When we are ready we want children, lots of them.
The Bible says that our marriage is meant to represent Christ’s love for His bride to the world. This is what Ann and I want. This is what I want. I want to provide a life of wonder and beauty for her. I want to learn to sacrifice myself for her like Christ did for me. I want to become more generous and selfless. These are the things I most hope for in marriage.
Marriage seems like a growing period where we will be forced to face our weaknesses and our inabilities. I am looking forward to this season. I know that God will stretch and mold Ann and I into something amazing.
Right now I own LiveOffensively.com, an online t-shirt company that encourages kids to be bold about their faith. I also own a design company called DangerousDesigns.org and a pro-life non-profit called SaveTheStorks.com. We will continue to build and grow these ministries while following God into this new season. The income from these three sources is sufficient to support us. However, we will be building much more.
I also have a vision for creating a company that sells precious metals and helps people prepare for the future by educating them about the effects of rapid inflation. I sold over 20,000 ounces of silver as hobby in 2010, which ended up being the majority of my income. We are open to this direction, as we believe that hard times are coming and helping people buy silver will protect them.
We believe that God has really big plans for our lives and we want to let Him set the pace of this new direction in our life. We realize that God has gifted both of us as highly capable and talented people, and so we are sure that He wants to use us to build His kingdom. Being available to God is the surest way to leave a legacy. We seek to remain available and open to His leading in our first year.
We believe that desire reveals design and design reveals destiny, so the life that we hope to pursue will mirror the desires that we have. For instance, Ann loves animals and we hope to find a place where she can love them best, and we love rock climbing so we hope to live in a part of the country where we can climb. We are both full of desire and are dreaming out our life. As these dreams develop we will share them on the blog of our site.
