Here are a few shots of the two of us having some fun a few days before the wedding. We hope you can tell how much we love each other by the amount of fun that we have when we’re together!

We spent the week before our wedding rock climbing in Colorado and Wyoming with our closest friends. It was a good way to get our hearts relaxed and ready for the big day. Read more about our Chrysalis Week here.

We had a wonderful time practicing for the wedding at our rehearsal! It was fun to play with our nieces and nephews between lining up.

We scheduled a barbecue the night before the wedding and invited our closest friends and family to share stories and memories of our lives. It was quite the celebration of who God has made the two of us.

Joe and I first met and climbed at the location of our wedding: Sylvan Lake, South Dakota. This place is very dear to our hearts. We have been everywhere since and believe that this was the perfect location for our wedding. I’m sure you will think that too after seeing the pictures!

Our reception was tons of fun and full of surprises! Destroy Nate Allen was our DJ Duo for the night. There was dancing all the way into the night, and a gorilla even showed up to show us all how to break dance. Our closest friends and family shared their hearts. The rustic reception hall represented our love of the wilderness. Every minute of it was amazing!

We asked our closest friends and family to join us for a brunch on the morning after our wedding. We asked everyone to come prepared with some words that would encourage us in our marriage. We deeply cherish all that was shared. Unfortunately, our photographer could not make it to the brunch, so the only photos that we have are those of our exit, taken by a few of our friends. The Jet Ranger was top secret and surprised everyone as it came in for a landing. Before anyone knew what was happening, I kissed my mom goodbye, grabbed the hand of my wife, and ran off with a wave.

Joe and I honeymooned in Whistler, British Columbia, Canada. Whister is a beautiful destination full of things to do. Some of the photos are from the town of Squamish in British Columbia. Here we climbed “The Chief,” which is the 2nd largest vertical wall in North America! We had tons of fun!

Our second honeymoon was to Zion National Park where we spent our days canyoneering foreboding slot canyons. A slot canyon is a very tight constricting canyon with walls that rise thousands of feet in the air. As long as it doesn’t rain these canyons are an absolute blast to be in.
