Making a wedding registry turns out to be a lot of fun! Ann maintains the laser gun and I hold the clipboard. Ann picks out what she thinks would look perfect in our imaginary house and I debate the dollar cost average divided by the functionality of each thing. We make a great team. We were able to blast though Target, Bed Bath and Beyond, and REI in two days! It must have been a world record. Originally, we didn’t want to do a wedding registry because there aren’t many material things that we want or need. However, after a little research we realized that there are lots of folks who love to buy newlyweds gifts, so we figured we had better pick out the things that we want since our closest friends will give us gifts either way. Our time putting the registry together was a dream. Ann and I were able to see the homely side of our future and envision our daily lives together. I learned a lot about Ann and the experience made me love her more.
Even though we had a ball picking out a bedspread, pot sets, and a Dyson vacuum we realized through the process that our hearts still need more adventure before we are ready for a mortgage, a couple of kids, and a dog. As all of you already know we truly are a restless and wild couple. We love where we are at in our love story and aren’t sure we want to give up the freedom that we enjoy as soon as we tie the knot. Some couples are made to settle down and start building their kingdom right away, but that is not us. We will in good timing.
Ann and I are planning a number of adventures for our honeymoon and during our first year. We want to give you all the opportunity to bless us on our journey. Therefore, we also registered at the Honey Fund! The Honey Fund let us put things on our registry that we couldn’t put on otherwise. For instance, now you can buy us a fancy dinner for two on our honeymoon or help chip in to buy Ann’s skydive rig! These are the gifts that we are most excited about. Whether you get us something or not I hope that you get a smile just reading over our ambitious romantic dreams.
We are happy to be simply blessed with your presence at our wedding. We know that just traveling to the Black Hills is a huge sacrifice for many of you. Please don’t feel like you have to buy us something to come. The best gifts that you can give us are your words and your prayers. We will cherish your blessing on our marriage. If you feel compelled to bless us with a shower curtain or a day of heli-boarding in Vancouver you can! All of our wedding registries are in one place at: www.honeyfund.com/wedding/wildlovestory
Thank you for even just considering helping us out in starting our new life together!
