Save the Date

Posted by Ann Baker on 09 Feb 2011 / 1 Comment

The Save the Dates are finally out!  I spent almost two weeks emailing and Facebooking friends and family for their addresses, and it feels good to know that I can mark off one more thing on my wedding check list.  There is still so much to do, and I’m learning that the process is never-ending, but I have enjoyed every minute of it.  In total, I have sent out almost 200 Save the Date cards, and I’m hoping that as many people as possible can make it to the wedding to celebrate with me and Joe!

Now, for those of you who aren’t married, you may be wondering how much time really goes into planning a wedding.  In a little way, I feel like I was quite lucky to have almost a year to plan out my big day.  Some couples have more time, and some have less.  I recommend at least a year, especially if you are a full time student like I currently am.  However, having Joe provide his ideas and input has made the process much more interesting and a lot more fun!  But, I will say that we have had our shares of arguments, and yes, even over little things such as centerpieces and suits.

Joe and I, like all couples, want our wedding day to be beautiful, romantic, and uniquely articulate our love for each other.  Planning an intentional wedding day is not easy.  It’s actually very hard.  The fun part is brainstorming and dreaming; the hard part is making it all happen.

With the amount of planning that we have done so far I am sure that you will be absolutely amazed not only by our wedding location, but also by the time and effort we have put into sharing our wild love story with you.
